Carers Counselling Service

Do you look after someone? Is your caring role too much at times? Would you like an opportunity to talk about how you feel?

Did you know that you can access the free Carers Counselling Service?

Counselling is an opportunity for you to talk to someone who is an outsider; a skilled listener who will not judge you or the things you say. Your counsellor will give you the space to talk in confidence about things that you may not want others to hear.

Talking to one of our counsellors will not solve all of your problems but it will be a good chance for you to get the tools to help you find your own solutions and get a better understanding of your thoughts and feelings.

It is done on a one to one basis in an accessible venue near to you. This could be your GP surgery or a venue close to your home. The sessions will be run at a time and day which suits you. The sessions run for one hour per week for as long as you and your counsellor agree that they are needed.

All of our counsellors are volunteers and training towards their Diploma. They work towards the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy Code of Ethics.

If you feel you would benefit from counselling or would like further information please call Sam on 0151 670 1500 or email counselling.coordinator@wired.me.uk
