Wirral Information Resource for Equality and Disability (W.I.R.E.D.) was formed on 1st April 2003 as a result of a merger between Wirral Association for Disability and Living Options Wirral.

W.I.R.E.D. is an organisation of and for disabled people and carers that provides a range of services to people, acts as an umbrella organisation for other local disability groups and promotes the inclusion of disabled people into society.

Inclusive Access was formed in 1998 as the W.I.R.E.D. trading arm. The aim of the company is to provide quality technical advice, consultancy and training to clients on how to make their premises and services accessible to disabled people.

New for 2010

City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate and Diploma in Independent Advocacy

The qualification accredits and recognises the skills and experience of existing advocates and professionals who use advocacy as part of another role.

Inclusive Access in partnership with Wired, have a range of tutors and qualified assessors who have a wealth of experience in dealing with advocacy support and in the delivery of the qualification.

The qualification is based upon the building of a portfolio of evidence of competence demonstrating ability, skills and knowledge applied in a practical way in the workplace.

This is an exciting opportunity for all advocates to work towards and receive a recognised qualification.
