WIRED is fortunate to have the support of people who volunteer their time freely. We offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities - there's something to suit everyone depending on your interests, skills and experience.

By volunteering, you can:

• Help to shape WIRED services by responding to consultation exercises
• Organise fundraising events
• Meet new people
• Learn a new skill
• Use your experience and existing skills for valuable work
• Make a contribution to your local community
• Get job and create on opportunity to gain references
• Gain work experience for your CV
• Make a positive difference to the world around you

Volunteering Wirral 100 Hour Certificate Award.

You may also decide to that you would like to aim for the Volunteering Wirral 100 Hour Certificate Award.

The Volunteer Certificate is awarded upon satisfactory completion of 100 hours of agreed voluntary work, or in the case of students, agreed voluntary activities undertaken during the academic year. There is no suggestion that achieving the certificate terminates the volunteer’s commitment to their organisation.

You will receive:

• A signed certificate by the Mayor of Wirral
• A volunteer task description
• A reference based upon the volunteer task description.
